Leveling & Quests
EXP in Aerlore, the reworked quest rewards, the 48 bonus bag slots and how dungeons work.

Leveling uses the Original's EXP table and monsters, but some of the slow parts are gone.
EXP basics
- The EXP table is the Original's. Monster EXP is too, apart from 37 monsters whose stats were way off the curve, which were fixed.
- No half EXP after 120. the Original halved EXP for Master/Hero characters. Aerlore doesn't, so 121-150 takes about half as long.
- Party EXP is the same as the Original. Nothing changed there.
- Death penalty is the same as the Original:
| Level | EXP lost on death |
|---|---|
| 1-20 | none |
| 21-29 | 6% |
| 30-59 | 5% |
| 60-89 | 4% |
| 90-99 | 3% |
| 100-109 | 2% |
| 110-129 | 1.5% |
| 130-150 | 1% |
Quests
The quest window opens with Q. New quests go into the Quest Goal tracker on your screen (up to 5). Click a goal to show it on the map, or turn on the Quest Objective Arrow in Options → Extras for an arrow that points the way.
Better rewards from level 61
Quest rewards in the Original dropped off badly in the mid and late game. In Aerlore, 147 one-time quests from level 61 to 150 have a guaranteed minimum reward. It's never lower than what the Original gave.
| Quest level | Penya | Aerlore Coins | Items |
|---|---|---|---|
| 61-75 | 80,000 | 3 | Power Dice 4, 10 minerals |
| 76-90 | 150,000 | 3 | Power Dice 4, 10 minerals |
| 91-105 | 250,000 | 5 | Power Dice 4, 15 minerals |
| 106-120 | 500,000 | 5 | Power Dice 6, 15 minerals |
| 121-135 | 1,000,000 | 8 | Power Dice 6, 20 minerals |
| 136-150 | 2,000,000 | 8 | Power Dice 6, 25 minerals |
Quest coins don't count toward the weekly coin cap (see Aerlore Coin). Quests below 61 keep their Original rewards.
Milestone quests: 48 extra bag slots
Eight big story and job quests each unlock 6 permanent bag slots for that character, 48 in total. They also give a nice reward pack.
| # | Around level | Quest | Extra reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 15 | 1st job change | Doggy pickup pet, 10 coins, 2× Power Dice 4 |
| 2 | 30 | Returning Home in Glory | 500 Conqueror's Tokens, 20 coins, Power Dice, minerals |
| 3 | 60 | 2nd job change | 30 coins, Power Dice 6, minerals, Scroll of Amplification |
| 4 | 70s | The Pendant of Reodos | 500 tokens, 30 coins, Power Dice, minerals |
| 5 | 90s | Psykeeper Hero's Pendant | 500 tokens, 30 coins, Power Dice, minerals |
| 6 | 100s | Bill Poster Hero's Pendant | 500 tokens, 40 coins, Power Dice, minerals |

| 8 | 140s | The Drowned Crown (Coral Island chain) | Baby Blue Dragon pet, 60 coins, Power Dice, minerals |
Conqueror's Tokens can be traded in through quests for one weapon of each tier, picked to match your job.
Already finished one of these on an older character? The slots are added for you anyway.
Dungeons
Dungeons use instanced dungeon rules on the Original's dungeons:
- Pick a difficulty (Normal, Medium or Hard) and whether you go Solo or with your Party. Solo runs get their own instance and weaker monsters, but also less EXP and fewer drops.
- 2 free entries per day (UTC), shared by all dungeons. After that, each entry costs Aerlore Coins: 10, 20, 40, then 80 for every one after that.
- Deaths don't cost you: EXP lost inside a run comes back when the run is cleared.
- Cooldowns are per dungeon, mostly 24 hours. A run has a 1-hour time limit (2 hours on the Abyss Tower floors). Hard difficulty needs level 121.
- Clearing a dungeon boss gives everyone Aerlore Coins (full amount on your first clear of the day, half after that) plus dice and minerals.
